In Boraas, the textile capital of Sweden, Ampio has produced the world’s largest stucco lustro surface, more than 300 square meters in one piece. Tengbom Architects have been responsible for transforming the old public community center Folkets Hus from 1939 and expanding it into a modern conference center. Boraas Kongress was inaugurated i 2018.
The shiny surface is achieved by the last finish being carried out wet in wet under very hard pressure. With a surface area of more than 300 sqms, it required 12 stucco lustro specialists to work synchronously without interruptions to avoid visible transitions.
